ALL OUR Locusts

criquet.jpg

Caelifera are a suborder of phytophagous insects of the order Orthoptera ,

commonly called caelifera or locusts. They carry, according to their behavior, the name of locust when they are gregariaptes (tendency to become gregarious) and sauteriau when they are not gregariaps.

Some species are considered insect pests ; in particular the locusts can cause very important defoliations in Africa , in Asia and also sometimes in the south of Europe.

There are locusts with a morphology very similar to that of the desert locust in Equatorial America, but which do not cause massive defoliation there.
