Galeodes granti
 Origin:   Egypt
 Animals must be kept individually in a terrarium/box measuring approximately 40 x 30 x 20 cm minimum. A clay-sand mixture with a height of 10-15 cm is used as a substrate. It is important that this substrate is soaked once and then completely dry and harden. This creates the necessary stability for solifugids when digging their dwelling caves.
 The temperature in summer is approx. 30°C during the day (in some places up to 40°C) and approx. 22°C at night, you can use a heat lamp, or a carpet on the wall. In winter, temperatures are much lower (around 20°C during the day and around 15°C at night). Arachnids are completely inactive during the winter months and sleep in caves without eating. This winter break is certainly an important factor for breeding success. Mating takes place in the spring.
 Mealworms, morio as well as migratory locusts are ideal as food. Other prey that is too watery (such as crickets, cockroaches or flies) should not be tolerated in the long term. It is equally important that the animals are not offered water. You should never spray, because humidity is fatal for solifugids in a very short time. Water needs are completely covered by food.
 Solifugids have no venom. However, they can bite painfully with their powerful mouthparts.
 Galeodes granti is a large-bodied species 10-12cm maximum adult, animals are sold non-sex/sub-adult. Adult couple is available.
